Are the ingrideints in this dog cake harmful to dogs?
My dog’s birthday is tomorrw and I am just about to bake him a dog cake. But, I’m not sure if these ingredients will harm him or not. Please take a look. Thanks!

1 cup white or whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup shredded carrots
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup honey
1 egg
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
Mix together flour and baking soda. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into a ring mold sprayed with a nonstick spray for 40 minutes.
Frost this cake with low fat cottage cheese and decorate with carrot pieces. Store in refrigerator.
This recipe does not look bad to me – unless your dog has food allergies. All of the main ingredients are safe. I’d be careful of the cottage cheese for frosting though. Milk products can give dogs diahhrea. I’d check with the vet on that one. There’s a great dog cookbook from Three Dog bakery that has safe recipes for dogs who do not have allergies!
