Cake Decorating Cupcakes
I’m new to Cake Decorating and having problems with my cakes prices. What should I do with this?
I’m making a cake of 6 and 9 inches square cake with fondant icing and decoration. Choc Mud Cake, plus about 10 small cakes. Any help would be great.
What I do is this:
1) The total cost of all ingredients and packaging that you use to send or move the cake. Add a bit of money on energy for your oven and the time / hot water is needed for cleaning and soap for washing dishes, etc.
2) The total time it takes for this cake from start to finish, ensuring Give yourself time to go shopping or buying ingredients (for example, if you have made.)
3) Doing a little research and find out what the current rates of these items are in your area / neighborhood. Do not underprice / insufficient tax on you and your efforts! Total all. This number represents the costs, including advertising or no insurance or gas money for delivery. It does not include your work yet. Decide how much money you think is good for you even hourly. Add to that total. Be generous with yourself. Remember, you provide a specialized service, and its really cool you get paid for it! Have you made a typo or make a cake that is 6 feet long + a 9 ” Square Cake plus 10 Cupcakes?? If the cake of six feet is accurate, and not a bug, I would not be a price below $ 300 for it.
